My name is Adam Homer, the creator of this website. Grant Homer is my father. I don’t have time to add this tonight, so I’ll just say a few words about what I’m trying to do here.
Truth be told, I’m not much of a historian. I’m just tech savvy and I know how to use AI (Google Gemini) to help me write, find historical websites, and make corrections to existing histories where there are obvious inconsistencies in the text.
Today while adding hyperlinks to Russell King Homer’s history page to help make it more interesting, the Holy Ghost told me that I need to add my Dad’s history. Thankfully, he wrote his own in our family photo albums so I expect that what I write for him will contain many more images than the entries written by Rachel Crockett. Stay tuned, more will come soon.
As for the rest of the site, sorry if the Work in Progress status looks a tad messy. This is a labor of love and time. I intend to add hyperlinks to all of the pages in hopes that doing so will make them much more interesting and add some much needed history and context to the histories they contain.
I am also trying to finish the Homer Ancestral History Vol 2. I’ve already reorganized it some, to make it easier to read, but adding the histories to each person is going to be difficult. The lines that tie to royalty have lots of history attached, but I need to transcribe it into a simple text format that can be copy and pasted here. I’ll have an AI do that, but since AI makes mistakes, I also have to read the original side by side with the transcribed version to make sure it’s correct. Then there are the people who aren’t royalty and have nothing written about them at all. Those are going to take a lot more research!
